Our theme this year will be "Kindness". Everything we do helps to promote being kind to others. This year our main focus will be on children and military families. Unfortunately, due to difficult finances we will be ending our partnership with the Giving Project in March.

This new year we started out with a bang. Cathi, the founder of NIA was recognized for community service efforts by Channel 8 News – which means we will receive a monetary award! In July, the NIA will also receive more exposure through the Mrs. Vietnam World Pageant. Cathi was nominated for the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and will receive the honor at the pageant. A big mahalo to Kelly Tran and Alex Bui for the nomination and recognition! There will be an upcomming fundraiser as well – which will benefit the NIA! Notices will be sent out in July. This will be another great opportunity for us to get our name out there within the community!
